In regards to Model Releases, what is your most favorable technique? To use a pre-designed template? Create your own?

I have only done obect-stock-photography, never with any people. However, with my collection growing daily I am about to do some model shooting. Do you go to shoots with the model release? Do you ask them to fill it out, or fill it out for them?

Thanks for the help, this is a new area to me.

I use the model release that is at Dreamstime. I have some modifications, but its the basic one I like the most.

What happens if you submit the DreamsTime Model Release to submit to iStockPhoto?? Do they allow cross-releasing?

Or do you use a different release for each site? Or do you remove the logo in photoshop?

I would get a template, then customize it to your standards. Get them to sign it BEFORE you shoot. You can't do anything, esp. in the stock world w/o a Model or Property Release. I just learned the hard way!
Good luck, Matt

Thanks, Stockman! That helps immensly.
Model Releases seem to be the most frustrating process for the photographer. I'm pretty certain I can devise an efficient system to get my models to sign and easily submit them to the various agencies.

I'll probably have more questions about this in the near future, so I'll post 'em to this topic.
