Hello, I'm a newbie in the forum. I'm a photographer from Catalonia and my english is VERY bad. Sorry...

I have a little question...
I have just began in Shutterstock and I'm very surprised with the sales.

Have I a lot of downloads because my images are new or it will continue at same frequence every month?

I have this doubt because there is download fee in shutterstock, designers would download all new archives and after... I will have few downloads. Is this?

Andother question
In fotolia, what do you do with keywords? beacause for me, is very hard to put them in relevance order. Is this important?

Sorry for my poor and poor english and thanks everybody.

For Shutter stock.... No, sales tamper off with time unfortunantely. This is not always true, but 90% of the time. You have to consistantly upload new images in order to keep things fresh and keep the downloads coming.

With Fotolia.... I honestly do nothing. I leave them in whatever order I happened to type them in on the first agency. (I actually put the keywords inside the jpg so when I upload they are already there). I know Fotolia would prefer something better, but its not worth the time.

Hope this helps.

People are fascinated with new, fresh images. That is why they will always go for something new, over something old. Unfortuantly for us, this means that we are constantly required to create new products. Only the very best images continue selling after a few weeks/months. Although you may get a few sales, the drop is fairly drastic.
