FeaturePics is a new site (2 months online). We are trying to establish a market place for Photographers where they can manage their sales (from free up to whatever price), and promote their photography.
A lot more should be done, but with help of our excellent Authors we will be able to deliver the results.
We are open to your critiques and promise "Listen and Improve".

Just a follow up to this from a long time ago, is anyone making any actualy money with FeaturePics? I still haven't really uploaded many images here and wanted to put out feelers and find out about the success of others.

I'm doing okay with FP - not huge in the way of sales, but good because the amount I earn is larger. A $10 photo sale (and yes, I've had a few there) gets me $7.00 payout.

I like the site and the admins - they are working hard at making a go of it.

Due to the good deal they provide photographers (pay out 70%) everyone should join Featurepics. Of all the new start ups, Featurepics gives the best deal and is much better than the likes of iStock that only payout 20%.

Imagine if Featurepics had the volume of sales that iStock does!!

They have FTP upload, recognise IPTC, no categories. You have to go through each image so it isn't as quick as some of the others but it is pretty good.

You then set your own price, I would recommend $5 to compete evenly with the other Micros but if you have a great shot, you may want to increase it a bit. You then also choose whether you wnat it resized, so people can buy a smaller size (at a proportionately cheaper price) if that is all then need.
