I was wondering if people think it is still worthwhile submitting new material to Stockxpert.com?

As I'm sure everyone is aware, their parent company has been taken over by Getty and licensing of Stockxpert images through Photos.com is being discontinued in favour of images from Istockphoto.

I am thinking that perhaps the writing on the wall suggests that Stockxpert.com will itself be discontinued at some point in future (perhaps with its domain name pointing to Istockphoto?) and certainly it will lose sales as a result of the present changes.

On the other hand if Getty intend to keep the Stockxpert brand in the long term it would be good (and logical) if the site were to stop requiring property releases for every single image containing modern buildings (not a requirement at Istockphoto).

I think that only good things will come of the change. Either Getty will pump it up or they will kill if off. How can it be good if they kill it? All the buyers will be shopping somewhere else, just make sure you have listed you images in the "other" places they might be shopping (iStock, Dreamstime, Fotolia being amongst the top).

I have portfolios on most of the microstock sites (all the major ones) and StockXpert is infact one of my smaller ones and Shutterstock portfolio is larger than at all the others combined.

I'm really just wondering about the likelihood of Getty merging all their microstock sites into the iStockphoto brand. I just hope if they do they also increase the upload limits and do something about their horrendous disambiguation system.

I also wonder if its worth submitting individual images to both StockXpert and iStockphoto now that they both market their images on all of the Getty microstock sites.

I don't really understand Getty buying StockXpert. I have been trying to figure out what it gets them. I don't see much revenue from this site and although Alexa generally lies, it doesn't seem to have near the traffic their others websites have.

In light of this, I don't see much of any reason other than the combining that you are speaking of, ie "eat the competition"

StockXpert is a very good earner for me. I will continue uploading to them, because my income is still growing with more accepted images. I expect that the income from them will drop to 1/3 after the images aren't available anymore on JI and Photo.com. But even then, they will belong to my better earners.

When you say one of your better earners, what rank does StockXpert get? For me it is 6th and the one I rarely upload new stuff to. I find that I question the time it takes, versus the income. But its better than the the startups which always seem to fail.
