Never seen anything like this anywhere, maybe only in North Korea. Where some istockphoto contributors and buyers express some concerns on Istockphoto forums, their threads are immediately deleted or closed. No criticism allowed. And the Istockphoto management, instead of replying to those questions, they just close threads. They probably have no good news to share. Being part of Getty images has shown where they are going now. They are killing Istockphoto.

This can be hard to deal with and is one of the reasons we started this site. Any agency will prune the opinions shared. I have noticed that most will be very accepting of criticism when they start out and then over time they make sure that the public opinion is good even if there are complaints.

In the defense of these agencies, everyone is going to have bad experiences. Somestime 10-20 people will loudly complain about an agency where thousand like them very much, but don't say anything. It looks like the micrstock company (or any company) is horrible, when in reality it is just a loud minority.

Thanks for your comment.
