Istock is a contributor's nightmare. They will take forever to approve your file. And where other sites will accept a file based on its overall quality and usefulness, istock accepts photos based on whether it meets its strict technical standards policy, often rejecting great images because of a minor technical detail, and accepting ridiculously bad images because they passed their test. Of course, they're my biggest seller, but I really really hate to love them.

To expensive if you use a lot of images, I use Shutterstock by subscription. iStock keeps uping prices while others follow suite.

One Dreamstime, 123rf, fotolia & stockxpert I struggled to sell. On istock i have sold at least 1 image everyday since last Thanksgiving. I make an average of $500/mo. Impossible for me anywhere else.

time to update stats here dude... over 2.000.000 accepted images (other MStock sites advertise rejects too), and a member base WAY above all the other top 10 microsites put together... little wonder to why they outsell the others by far

Getting more and more EXPENSIVE. Looing somewhere else amy save you money if you on a small budget.

Just announced ANOTHER price change! When does microstock stop being micro??? I'm going to check out Fotolia

I am new here but I see enormous discrepancy in site stats here and in reality. Istock has close to 2 million image and well over 1 million members. It has number of unique features and is currently presented in 10 languages. I think it is the most expensive for highest quality (size) images but I am not complaining since I am selling and not buying!

In my opinion this site is WAY over rated. Its to complicated. While they are trying to help you to search heaven, they make thing way confusing (and expensive). Go with Dreamstime or Fotolia!

I don't like the istock reviewers attitude. The fame the got in the recent time is definitively not helping them.

Try going to alexa.com and comparing traffic on different microstock sites, helps understand how much more traffic istock gets

I have been with iStockPhoto for about 3 months now. The only thing I don't like from a photographer perspective is that it takes over a week until they review your images. Sometimes it is closer to 10 days. My guess is that if you are an "exclusive" photographer that you might float to the top, which is understandable.

They have made contributing such a hassle that its not worth it anymore.

iStockPhoto takes too long to review submissions. I have had some photos waiting for review since Jan 21, 2007. It is now Feb 2, 2007. What gives??
Ghost
I used to like this site, but they are to annoying now!

I am a contributer & customer, I just love this site as both!
I am new to "website design" and they have helped me look good!

As a contributor, I find iStockPhoto to get me the best return per image online. It must be its exposure.
