hi !
i am new to microstock, but i used the time i have to wait before my pictures are rejected and wrote a tagging tool. its made in german, but can be used for english tagging as well. you just need an explanation how it works, which i want wo give here.
open
http://stocktagger.losmuchachos.at
in the form field enter the first word you tink of when you tag a picture. in this example i want to tag a photo with a litte rabbit. so i enter "rabbit". after you press search ("suchen") you get a list of all words in the database with contain "rabbit". in this case "rabbit", "baby rabbit", "rabbit brush" .... here there are already 2 words ("rabbit" and "baby rabbit") which i like to use. so i press the +-button on the left side. pressing the plus adds the words to the tagfield on the outer left side.
but now the magic comes: we want to find tags which makes sense to be used with rabbit so press on "häschen" (german word for "baby rabbit") and the "partnertags" of rabbit appear. these are tags that often make sense to be used with "baby rabbit". you can again add tags by just pressing the plus button. (in our example i would add cute, fur, young animal, animal ear, pets and so on)
quite an easy way to get a wonderful taglist in less than a minute.
if there is now a bicycle behind the rabbit (what a phantastic photo;-)) you press "Tagsuche" in the Menu and start again by searching for bicycle.
when you are finished you press the "shopping cart" above the tag window and you get a window where you easily can copy the tags in german or english. in the tagwindow of the mainscreen the tags are only in germen, but thats a good chance to learn a new language and doesnt matter.
stocktagger has around 20.000 tags out of the controlled vocabulary of istock in its database.
i think the tool does a wonderful work, and i am really looking forward to get some response from some users, that have more experience.
please try the program. i already introduced the tool in an german forum and so many people wrote things, where you could see, that they never even tried the tool. (like "i prefer the leo.org dictionary") this is NO dictionary and NO thesaurus. this is better !!
thank you for your time, if the response is good and the server doesnt crash, i maybe will make an english version later, but with this explanation you can fully use the tool already.
