Keywording is painful but so necessary. Without good keywords it's much harder for clients to find and purchase one's images. Despite the importance of keywording, I have had a hard time finding software that really targets this task. One new tool that's worth checking out is called Image Keyworder (www.imagekeyworder.com). It's a Windows program that comes with a 40,000 term thesaurus and some useful batch and template functions. It seems pretty easy to use too. There's a full functionality trial version available on the Image Keyworder site which I would recommend taking for a spin.

Another usable tool

Seems nice and you can try it for free. During the trial period you can upload only one image per program start, but for ~49USD you can buy it and upload as much as you want...

ImageKeyworder.com certainly looses something when you are offered to "Download a free 30 day trail"

A keywording app that misspells on thier website ...hmmm I think I'll hang onto my $80.00.

Hah! Thats a pretty good one. Although something can be said for predicting mispelling and pickup up those searches where other might not. As I look at the stats on ImageTrail I notice how people spell words phoentically (especially if it seems that English is not their first langauge).

Hopefully they fix it soon!
