Do most of the microstock sites require a certain dimension - is 4x6 or 5x7 preferable and is there is a manual crop like a panoramic shot, does it cause problems? thanks.

Most image users I've heard from on forums prefer full size images. It's their job to use what they want. Don't second guess, you'll only lose sales.
