I saw the news on the front section for the new agency Fotomind. Has anyone had any experiences yet with this agency? I submitted about 50 because they are supposed to pay for images, but they haven't yet accepted any.

Wouldn't that be a nice trick to "pay for images accepted this month" and then start accepting on Oct 1st....

thoughts?

I have had about 40 accepted. I cannot confirm the $75 payment, but they are accepting images. I'll drop a note when I reach the 125. Worth trying it out right?

I uploaded and got the required 125 images approved (actually far more then that I also had already 3 sales + one of my referrals had a sale. Doesn't look bad to me.

The $75 + the money from the sales got credit to my account, yes. The minimum pay-out is $100, so I have to wait a little bit more BTW can somebody please point me to the forum rules regarding links/ signature to avoid further editing of my posts, thanks SY

This is go0d to hear. I am sitting at ~95 approved with 170 waiting approval. Hope they pull them through.

As for the rules, its pretty simple: No referral links in the body of the message. You can link to your own website in your signature as long as its a tastefully small link. You can have millions of referral links there and we won't even cringe, blink or fall over.

I should do up a rules page, but then as soon as I do people start asking me about bending them. So, if you want to know, just ask....

I've got 69 approved and 209 waiting. No rejections. On the first day I uploaded images 54 were accepted really quickly. After that it's been just one or two a day. Still no rejections...

I hope they keep them moving through. I'll be a little unhappy with them if they drag their feet.

That would be the kind of mistake an agency couldn't recover from any time soon.

Many of use are only submitting there because of the offered money. I think it is obvious that you won't receive the $75 anytime soon because of the $100 payout threshold, however we hope to see the credits in the account. I am sure they have had a huge influx of submissions because of the news of the payments, when I started submitting a little over a week ago they were at 2000 image, now they are at 9000. I now people that have submitted 300-400 images and this is probably killing their review team (if it is a team, not just one person).

Anyhow, with a small agency, they must be very excited to be moving so quickly and filling in their database with images. However, if they break that trusy, many people will pull out and the rest of us will just leave our 125 images and never add the rest (~700 in my case).

If anyone gets their payment please let us know in here, so we maintain hope....

A few days later I'm still at 69 accepted, 209 pending and none rejected.

I'm with you. I'm sure the $25 will be a while coming...but interested in the starter credits. I'll keep you posted on any movement...or lack of it. Hopefully they're just overwhelmed, but will honor the offer. They have given themselves until October 5 to review any images submitted prior to the end of this month.

I checked in with support at Fotomind and received a reply from Andrew. Here's what he had to say:

All images submitted before 1october are eligible even if we accept your
125th in december, you still get the 75$

The delay was caused by many people uploading thousands of photos in the
last few days, and our image inspectors team could barely catch up.
So don't worry about the 75$, you will receive it. Once we have about
50.000 images we're going to be more customer focused so that we can be
sure photographers will get their payouts soon.

We already have > 15k
images pending, so we're not far

Thank you for posting that. I have really been wondering what would happen. I figured they were swamped (we added them you our homepage here, so that probably helped). Anyhow, it will be interesting to see how long it take. I am assuming they have a pretty small team because I know that agencies like Dreamstime add 25k images a week.

I got the 125 plus a few for rejection. It looks to me like the payout is a little low unless they do a really good job to to get the buyers in. Also the lack of on site information is alittle disconcerting. Maybe they depend on this site for a forum. All in all I'll give it a try.

Still waiting!!! I am at 110 accepted, I am really starting to doubt that they will pay up in the end.

I am still waiting to. I have about 70 acceped and about 250 waiting. I don't know why I let myself get excited. I knew this would happen. The site looks descent, but its small. They probably didn't calculate enough $75 payment into their budget realiszing that they would get a couple hundred (maybe thousand) new photographers.
