I am trying to get a website set up for my company. I do these for others all the time, I suppose its time to do my own.

I know that link pop is important. Does anyone have a good list of places to submit for listing a graphic design company?

Link pop is very important, but I would concentrate on submitting to lists in which you'll actually be seen. List links are god, but not super useful

Look for websites that list designers by area, find your and make sure you have a listing. I get 10-20 hits a week form random sources. A lot of these sites are kind of ugly, so choose carefully and check the pagerank before swapping links.

Sorry for the late reply, I just found this post, but if you are still looking for some SEO Tips, here are a couple of great online tools that I use for a few of my sites

These do not have to do with links back to you, but the first two are great tools for bosting your rank up a bit

Website grader, has a neat feature that lets you compare your site to the competition to see where they are doing better or worse.

And here is a great tool to test those link relationships. You really don't want to link back to a link farm. I accidentally did with my design studio site & I droped from page 1 in google to page 6 overnight.
