Areaimage seems to be fairly unique in comparison with other leading microstock sites as users can actually choose the price of their image, at what they think is a fair price, which we feel gives members more control over the selling of their images. This also allows the image downloaders to browse images based on their budget, giving more flexibility to the download process.

Just over 10,000

It varies from about 600-1500

Only english at this current time.

For Designers

1) Are you a subscription-based, per photo sale, or combination website?
Per photo sales.

2) Do you offer free images? How many at a time? How often do they change?
No we don't offer free images at this time, although this is on the list of updates for the future.

For Photographers

1) What is your compensation scale?
The scale ranges from 30% royalty to 90% depending on the price of the image, and whether the photographer has uploaded more than 250 images. The scale can be viewed in detailed at www.areaimage.com/rates.php

2) Do you sell separate sizes of image for different prices?
Not at this current time.

3) What is your Min Image size?
Minimum File Size for images is 1280 * 960 (approximately 1.2MP)

4) What is your Max Image size? (dimensions, megapixels or both)
There is currently no max upload size.
