Hi all,

One of the things I absolutely hate is keywording. Canstockphoto have a great keyword generator; does anyone know of an online standalone service like this that I can use to help me think of keywords. Otherwise, my wee brain only gets about 10 per photo, which is a waste!

I use a thesaurus and spell check, that about it. This abstract, not just what the image has, but what it could represent (unless you submitting to iStock, then put you 10 words in there and hope that they work) [grumble]

I don't like using keyword generators. They sometimes provide great words, but more often than not they just provide the same word in a different manner. I have found that the best way to use keywords/tags is to think of what they can be used for. For example, if you had a picture of someone throwing an old phone over their shoulder, you could name it iPhone, or New Nokia or something that people are interested in and will pay good money for.

Unfortunately this is against the keywording rules of some agencies. Just like your photo cannot show the logo, it also cannot use brand names in the keywords.

Ahh, I see. I can understand that companies don't want their brands being used in this manner. Are there any other tips in how to increase the number of sales you make by the use of 'creative' keywording then?
