Great site. Excelent insight on the microstock world.

I was wondering. Do you guys sell evenly all your pictures or do you have an 80/20 pattern where most of your revenue comes from a small fraction of your pictures while the rest of your portfolio sells slowly?

I certainly have a Masterpiece set that I sell a lot of. I would say that 50% of my profit comes from 20% of my images. But the other 80% are important for two reasons:

1) They make the other 50% profit
2) They draw people to the masterpiece images

I think most of the time I know if I have created one thats going to "fly", but many times I am surprised by the images that do so well.

I think my are pretty even so far. I have 3-4 that sell really well, but the rest seem almost random sales. Some of the one I thought would do the best haven't sold at all yet. But I think time will tell what the best images are.
