I need to show this led finger light with a white background. But the light needs to be on and show a little color on that white background. If I just use a brush and white out some area around the light hitting the table then it does not look very good. I want to make a great looking photo to put on the front of this website. I would appreciate any help at all. Its really about a balance of light. The amount of light coming from the LED is very small, so you want to balance that with the natural light / flash. I would use a tripod with slow shutterspeeds to give the led light a chance to glow. Try different speeds in different natural conditions and see if you can make it work.

I tried this approach with the christmas tree and had great results. You may still have to play with your levels in Photoshop (or whatever editting you use) to get a white or close to white background. If you need completely white, look at some tutorials for isolation.
