Post Portraying aged color
I am looking for images of color aged through time. I am not sure the best way to explain, but I have had no luck finding what is in my head Smile

Not looking for bright paints coming out of a tube, but more, bright paints turning not so bright, sort of.

Ideas?

How about photos that have aged over time?

This photographer on my site has a few aged/antique looking images.

http://microstockphoto.com/view_photog.php?photogid=196

or this

http://microstockphoto.com/details.php?gid=&sgid=&pid=768

or maybe autumn going into winter faded colours

http://microstockphoto.com/details.php?gid=&sgid=&pid=7147

http://microstockphoto.com/details.php?gid=&sgid=&pid=7148

http://microstockphoto.com/details.php?gid=&sgid=&pid=2668

or an old clock maybe that represents time literally and age in a conceptual way

Regards

John

These are pretty close. I need a little more of the transition from old to new. I guess maybe I should have entitled it "aging color" instead of aged.

BTW: That clock image is awesome! I think I might have another use for it.

I've got some tubes of watercolours and a box of chalk pastels. If I knew exactly what you wanted I could probably produce something.

But it would be fairly simple to take an existing photo and do what you want to it. I've got a shot of chalk pastels along with part of a drawing on morgueFile (free download) that could be altered.

I think youre right. I have been working with one of your images and think that I have come up with something they will like.

BTW: Why aren't you selling these images instead of providing them free? You have some great work up there! Thanks.

What do you think?
